The Northern Roots Collection: Wines Grown And Made In Wisconsin
Thu, September 12, 2019 (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM)
Cost: $25
A revolution is happening in American winemaking and you’re invited. This spring we met a vineyard and winery consultant named Piero Spada who had us sample a variety of grape based wines grown and made in Wisconsin. Piero has a master’s degree from Cornell's Viticulture and Enology Program, and for the last decade plus he has been working with wineries in cool and cold climates throughout the US. With a growing interest in the Farm to Table movement and high-quality, locally made products, the last few years have seen a huge increase in fine wines being made right here in Wisconsin from grape varieties specifically suited for our cooler climate. Prepare to have your world changed: This tasting will absolutely change your mind about wines grown and made in Wisconsin! This class will feature a total of eight wines from the following wineries: Branches Winery in Westby, Wisconsin, Vines and Rushes Winery in Ripon, Wisconsin and Odilon Ford Winery in Sampson, Wisconsin.
