Latin for ‘location’, Locus sources fruit from cooler climate vineyards in the Yakima Valley and Naches Heights AVAs of Washington State to produce unique, handcrafted wines that best showcase where they were sourced. Our Old World-like approach to our favorite varietals – Syrah, Cinsault, Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc – produces wines with higher acidity and less oak that are approachable and destined for food pairing.
Curious about how your favorite beverage comes to be? What magic has to happen for that seemingly quick and easy sip to make it into your glass?
Or maybe you no longer want to be intimidated by those sitting at the next table who seem to know so much more about wine and flaunting it? Or you want to speak to our winemaker Rich Burton in his native language?
Whatever the reason or past trauma, come join our tasting room manager, Chris Bolla, a certified sommelier himself, to break it down for you in a non-threatening, friendly conversation at 6PM on Wednesday, October 6th. He promises not to use the commonly observed pretentious wine words and phrases like cassis, cigar box, 'sweaty crotch of a racing horse'.
Like all events, this Locus Wine Academy class also have food and wine. 4 wines and 4 food pairings, in fact. $30 per person (plus taxes). Your wine club discount applies at checkout. Limited to 20 seats.
P.S. OpenTable reservations is not the appropriate way to reserve a seat for this event. Seats must be secured by payment ahead of time.
