Historic Garden Week HGW) in Virginia marks the 90th year of the springtime event that celebrates and supports Virginia’s public gardens all across the Commonwealth. The largest statewide event of its kind across the entire United States, Historic Garden Week is organized by the Garden Club of Virginia whose mission since its inception just over a century ago, in 1920, has revolved around the restoration and preservation of historic landscapes as well as collaboration to share knowledge and spread passion about gardening. Tours are throughout Virginia and some locations are free while others are paid.
