This is a rare, historic and special event I am producing Tuesday, January 28.
Grace Family Vineyards was one of the very first “CULT” wineries in Napa Valley.
Their wines are rare, hard to find, and quite special.
Seating will be limited to a couple dozen people, and I hope you can find your way to attend.
You may want to consider staying for dinner afterwards as well.
Tasting should last until about 6:30 or so.
Please email me with your reservation requests or any questions you may have.

"Grace Family Vineyards' latest Cabernet Sauvignon releases stood out in our Weekly Tasting report. Their 2021 reds highlight the greatness of the vintage for Napa Valley Cabernet, with the standout being the 100-point Grace Family Vineyards, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley St. Helena Cornelius Grove 2021, which comes from amazing old vines, some about 70 years old. The wine is literally history in the glass and shows the unique microclimate of the hillside area, exhibiting an exquisite balance of intense fruit and sublime tannin quality." - James Suckling

Join us for this historic and rare tasting of twelve vintages of Grace Family wines, with commentary from our special guest, Brett Banes.
Grace Family Vineyards is one of Napa Valley's first cult wines.
The estate, located in St. Helena, produces Grace Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon with a total production of a mere 200 cases annually. They typically score in the 92-96 point range from expert reviewers and are hard to obtain on the open market.
These wines were delivered winery direct to our private collector upon winery releases each year and stored in their large home cellar since receiving them.
The combined retail value of the wine to be opened is over $8,000.
Obviously, space is very limited!
Proprietors Dick and Ann Grace purchased the estate in 1976, harvesting their first commercial crop in 1978, and were one of the first in the US to implement high-density vine training and use the word "family" in their winery's name. Beyond its highly allocated wines, Grace Family Vineyards runs Grace Family Vineyards Foundation with the mission "wine to act as a catalyst towards healing the planet".
Grace Family Vineyards' first wines were produced by Charlie Wagner at Caymus, who also produced wine from the Grace's fruit under his well-known label. The wines have been produced in-house since 1985 by some of Napa Valley's most esteemed winemakers including Wagner, Gary Galleron, Heidi Barrett, and Gary Brookman.
