Almost all Champagnes are labeled as non-vintage, meaning that unlike most of the other wines in the world, they are blended across several vintages. 

But in great years, Champagne producers make vintage Champagnes - wines that come from only one vintage and are thought to be greater than their non-vintage cousins. Because of this, they are also priced significantly higher.
