Veraison, what is it? Occasion, a "happening"! Veraison is the transition of grapes on the vine from green to purple in August as the ripening begins. It's an exciting time of the year as winemakers prepare for the onslaught of the harvest. See - you learned something already!
Seven of the Carson Road Wineries in Camino CA will be hosting this two-day event on Sat./Sun. August 14 & 15 from 11a-5p each day. The team of wineries have created an event where flavor, experience and education are the draws. Of course there will be wines to sample, bites to nibble and deals to take home your favorite wines - but also the "WineTalks" will help demystify some of the wine terms that get tossed around a lot.
Each of the 7 participating wineries will host 20-30 minute "WineTalks" hosted by owners and winemakers starting every hour on the hour. Your ticket also will include a dinner with live music on Sat., Aug 14 from 6-9 pm at Fenton Herriott Vineyards.
Tickets are $50 per person for both days, designated driver ticket is $20.
