UMMO Presents An Evening To Benefit Emilia-Romagna

Join Chef/Partner Jose Sosa of Chicago's soon-to-open UMMO for an unforgettable culinary journey to Italy on Friday, June 9 at 6:30 p.m. Opening summer 2023 in Chicago's River North neighborhood, UMMO has partnered with its sister restaurant Tzuco to host an intimate, chef's tasting in the exclusive private dining room to benefit Italy's flood-ravaged region of Emilia-Romagna.

The evening begins with a Champagne reception and appetizers in the company of Tzuco Host Chef Carlos Gaytán. Then, enjoy a multi-course menu that serves as the ultimate preview to Chef Sosa's fine contemporary Italian cuisine with wines to match - all while benefiting a community in need.

This event is held in partnership with the “Chicago Chefs Cook for Emilia-Romagna” Dinner Series, with all proceeds benefiting this critical cause.

Ricotta squash blossom and Petrossian Paris Caviar

Gnocco fritto with 30-month aged Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano

7:00 p.m.

Multi-course UMMO special preview menu accompanied with a selection of wine pairings, including

Sicilian Octopus Carpaccio

Tonnato aioli, roasted tomatoes, pickled onions, lemon oil, and arugula

Burrata Pugliese

Avocado and fresh herbs

Slow-Cooked Wild Alaskan Halibut

Fava beans and tomato saffron broth

Charcoal-Grilled Wagyu Carrara Sirloin Strip

Charred radicchio, 10-year-old-aged balsamic, and Barolo wine reduction

Tomato and raspberry sorbet
