Enjoy another incredible wine tasting with our Sommelier, Olivier Flosse, for a special tour though the vineyards of Spain.

Spain produces some of the world’s finest, and most long lived wines. The Rioja red has been well known for centuries. Classic and bold, these wines taste mostly of their tempranillo roots and have a bright, fresh flavor to them. The Rioja Blanca is more greenish-yellow than white, with a light, fine aroma and flavor. These wines are made primarily with the Viura grape. The grapes planted in Spain are restricted to a few traditional varietals, including Tempranillo, Granacha, and Bonarda.

This seminar will feature four wines from Spain: two reds and two whites, to give you a sense of the depth and variety of wines from Spain. Join us to expand your knowledge and palate to a range of tastes and traditions unmatched anywhere else in the world.

Zarate, Albarino, Rias Baixas, 2021

A finely tuned Albarino. Brilliantly clean, stony tropical pineapple presents clearly on the nose and palate. Yellow citrus flavors are like a simple, well-constructed melody, balanced and constrained.

Muga, Rioja White, 2020

A straw-yellow color. It has a strikingly intense nose with floral aromas coming to the fore (white flowers, jasmine) together with notes of citrus fruit and apple peel. Complex and seductive. The entry on the palate is very supple with a sensation of ripeness. Interestingly though, on the rest of the palate a minerality and freshness comes though developing into a lively, crisp finish that also makes the wine a good partner for food.

Ultreia, Saint-Jacques, Raul Perez, 2019

Floral, spicy aromas with hints of underbrush. Juicy, well-structured red fruit with great vibrancy and length on the palate. A long finish is marked by hints of herbs, coffee bean, and tomato leaf.

Marques De Caceres, Reserva, 2016

Dark and dense ruby color. Refined and complex aroma with a touch of cherry, vanilla and soft toasted notes. Balanced in the mouth, where the silky and well defined tannins are combined with exquisite flavors to reveal a pleasant fullness.
