Join The Scotch Malt Whisky Society at Jack Rose for a tasting of rare single malt releases and a hands-on history of Scotch!

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society of America is delighted to present our first event series of 2026 – The Liquid Antiquarian Tour. We welcome our very special guest, Arthur Motley, from Edinburgh for a series of unforgettable events. Arthur has been a whisky antiquarian for decades now, while cutting his teeth at The Vaults from 2001-2004 as the Society’s Whisky Buyer and at Royal Mile Whiskies from 2005-2025 as Spirit Director. Over the last 20 years, Arthur has helped shape the modern Edinburgh whisky scene and now it’s time to share him with you….

On his first tour of America, Arthur Motley will be presenting his unique take on the development of the culture, economics and flavor of Scotch Whisky. Based on original research conducted with Dave Broom for their YouTube project ‘The Liquid Antiquarian’, Arthur has fresh views on the past and loves to dig up fun tales that have not yet been told. He has kindly promised to bring over original and ancient documents from his private archive, so you can literally hold whisky’s history while you drink fine Society drams. This will be a presentation like no other.

This event is open to Society members and non-members. Grab a friend and secure your tickets today!
