We love a good spritz, especially ones that go beyond the classic Aperol Spritz to incorporate the wildly complex flavors of more exotic aromatized wines and mixers like flavored tonics and even an icy Coke. Once you've tried them, we think you'll love them as well and be eager to create your own spritzy concoctions. So here's a chance to explore the wilder side of spritz featuring the intensely complex flavors of Americanos, Quinquinas and Vino Amaros from importer Haus Alpenz with creative mixers to match. And to do it all on us, because the tasting is free (but you will need a timed ticket to join in).
We'll have three tables set up on Sunday, August 7, each showcasing a pair of mouthwatering spritz based on different mixers and aromatized wines. At each table, our good friends from Williams Corner Wines and Haus Alpenz will share information on the wines' make-up and history, tips on spritz creation, and - of course - provide you with really exciting samples.
You'll be at each table for around 15 minutes with a group of no more than 10 total fellow spritz fans, creating plenty of time for questions and discussion.

- Cocchi Aperitivo Americano Rosa + Grapefruit + Soda
- Cappelletti Aperitivo + Orange + Soda (our "better than Aperol" spritz)
- Pasubio Vino Amaro + Lemon + Tonic
- Byrrh Grand Quinquina + Grapefruit + Tonic
- Cardamaro Amaro + Ginger Beer
- Cocchi Aperitivo Americano Bianco + Olive + Orange
There's no charge for this walk-around spritz class extravaganza, but you will need to reserve your spot in one of our three one-hour sessions. To create plenty of room for tasting and give-and-take, we must limit participation for each one hour session to 30 people total, so it's best to sign up before all the tickets are gone!
