Downtown Alameda Rock & Roll Beer Stroll - Saturday, August 20, 2022

Sip and stroll your way through our historic downtown district tasting local craft beers paired with yummy bites. Enjoy an afternoon filled with food, drink, and entertainment while learning about the unique styles of Northern California breweries and local chefs.

Tickets include a collectible tasting glass, premium beer tastings at unique downtown locations, yummy bites prepared by local chefs, commemorative guide and exclusive offers.

Don’t wait… ticket prices increase as we get closer to the event! Ticket prices are as follows:

• Backstage Pass: VIP Tickets (limited availability) $95
• Groupie: Early Bird Ticket $45
• Rocker: General Admission Ticket $55
• Roadie: Designated Driver Ticket $25

Please note: General Admission tickets will increase to $65 starting August 13th.

We are following all county health guidelines—for the safety and comfort of you, our other ticket holders, and our volunteers. All ticket holders must show proof of being fully vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID test received within 48 hours of event check-in. Individual businesses may have specific masking requirements so kindly be prepared to comply.

A few more details:

Ticket Price: Ticket prices range from $95 to $45 depending on date of purchase. All tasting tickets include a collectible glass, premium beer tastings, small bites, commemorative guide and exclusive offers.

A limited number of Designated Driver (Roadie) tickets are available for $25 and include bites at each tasting location, a commemorative guide, special offers and all the fun. DD tickets do not include a tasting glass or beer tastings.

VIP Experiences: Join us an hour early at 12:00pm for one of our unique VIP opportunities:

• Spinning Bones: As a Michelin Bib Gourmand Restaurant, join Chef Mike Yakura as he mixes a cooking demonstration with entertaining tales from behind the counter. More than just a Californian rotisserie, behold their unorthodox approach to delicious, innovative dishes (ask about the secret menu!) and sample some very special bites. While you're there, sample tasty brews and mingle with Dan & Melody Thebeau, owners of the new 1200 Park Community Tap House... Coming soon across the street from Spinning Bones!
• Alameda Theatre: Alameda’s native son, Ben Fong-Torres is the subject of the new documentary - Like a Rolling Stone: The Life & Times of Ben Fong-Torres. As a rock journalist, Fong-Torres was a legendary Rolling Stone writer and editor who defined an era and is a real-life character in the 2000 film Almost Famous. Join us for an exclusive screening of Like a Rolling Stone for VIP guests, with a private reception prior to the screening and a $10 food and beverage voucher to be enjoyed during the film.
• Dragon Rouge: Curious about brewing and how to get started?! Meet with homebrewers turned brewmasters, Brian Blackburn and Craig Danielson of Livermore’s Shadow Puppet Brewing for a small Q+A experience! Taste their delicious and unique brews while chatting and enjoying savory bites from Dragon Rouge.

VIP guests will check in at their selected host location - showing identification and proof of vaccination (or a negative test) and receive their glasses, map and wristband there.

General Check-In Location: Alameda Ave Al Fresco Dining Area, located near Alameda Museum (2324 Alameda Ave) and one block from the Oak Street Civic Garage.

Check-In Time: 12:30-2:30pm; receive wristband, collector's glass and commemorative guide.

Tasting Hours: 1:00-6:00pm; choose your own route for visiting the downtown tasting locations.

Bottle Sales: Found a new favorite? Select Bay Area beers will be available for purchase at CRAFT Beer & Wine -- Alameda’s premium bottle shop specializing in barrel-aged beers, European wines and spirits.
