It is a tradition in France and Switzerland to have Raclette dinners when the weather cools off. Raclette is very popular in the Alpine region of France and frequently eaten in the wintertime throughout parts of the country.
Raclette is so important in France that some would even part away from the traditional Christmas turkey, lamb, or roast and gear towards a fun Raclette dinner!
But what is raclette? In fact, the word “raclette” comes from the French word “to scrape”. I will explain all about the hows and dos and what makes Raclette dinners so unique and fun!
