A new pop-up experience in Downtown San Diego, focused on small production wines!
We're very excited to announce our return to Downtown San Diego! With a focus on sourcing artisanal wines from sustainable, small production vineyards in Italy, France, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, California and Oregon, Quigley Fine Wines has built an exceptional portfolio. Believing that the families and winemakers behind every bottle of wine offered are as charming and as interesting as the wines themselves. It is their goal to bridge the gap between the winemaker and the wine drinker – to keep the stories behind the wine alive until the cork is popped and the wine can speak for itself. We'll be pouring four exceptional wines for this event, with the option for a fifth. Following the welcome wine, Chef Erin will present pairings for the remaining three wines. Though this is not our normal 5-course dinner format, the menu will equate to a full meal. There will also be some additional options to add at the beginning or end of the set three courses, if you'd like a bit more sustenance.
This event will be held indoors, the tasting room has ample space for the number of tickets being sold for this event. There will be no assigned seating for this event. If you would like a specific seat or are part of a larger group, it is recommended that you arrive at the start of the welcome to ensure you get the seat you would like. Each selection will be paired with its own wine inspired small plates course, prepared by Chef Erin Sealy. Chef Erin specializes in pairing food with wine, with a slightly different approach than most. Prior to creating a menu, each wine is tasted and reviewed and then she creates a food pairing, highlighting the nuances of each wine. This concept creates a dinner and pairing experience with layers of complexity and unique creations which exemplify the enjoyment of each wine. With a passion for food and wine, Chef Erin delights attendees with a detailed account of the pairing concept and cooking techniques that create each course.
