Making Barolo wines since 1761, the Borgogno family has evolved way past the hype that surrounds Barolo today. Over the past 30 years, this winery has re-embraced the old way of making Barbera and Nebbiolo, farming organically, fermenting naturally in cement tank and allowing the wines to round out slowly over 2-3 years in large Slavonian oak casks. And they've innovated a bit by joining the resurrection of the historic Piemonte white grape Timorasso - a new wine that's as full of history as flavor.

As usual there’s no charge for our Producer Spotlight tastings held upstairs around the tasting table, but we do ask that you reserve one of the five 30 minute sessions from 5:00pm to 7:30pm so we can make sure everyone has plenty of time to enjoy and appreciate the wines. By the time your tasting is done, you'll be ready to join Borgogno and affirm, "Every moment is right for drinking Barolo!"
