The wines of Domaine Pierre Gonon represent the true gem of Saint-Joseph, an appellation often overshadowed by its neighbors Côte-Rôtie or Hermitage. What distinguishes Gonon from the other producers in the area is clearly everything. It starts in the vineyard, located in the historic part of Saint-Joseph, blessed with an excellent terroir of pure granite. The estate is also characterized by very low yields of pristine Syrah grapes and the generous inclusion of stems, a traditional method that provides irresistible aromatics and texture in the wine, often reminiscent of black olives and smoked bacon. Although these wines are powerful, they are never heavy, and that is Gonon’s stroke of genius.

Join us to taste an impressive vertical of ten vintages featuring wines nearly impossible to find. We will also serve two vintages of the very unique white wine “Les Oliviers”, a blend of Roussanne and Marsanne.
