The southern-most appellation of the Côte de Nuits with Village-level status, Nuits-Saint-Georges has a great diversity of terroir. Conventional wisdom has the southern vineyards producing a more rustic and earthy expression of Nuits, with the Vosne side in the north exhibiting the more refined textures and aromas of the neighboring village.
