Presqu’ile Winery is a family-owned estate in Santa Maria Valley, California, specializing in Burgundian-style wines. Founded by the Murphy family in 2007, their search for the perfect site to cultivate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay led them to this cool-climate region. The winery’s name, meaning “almost an island” in French, honors their family retreat on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, lost to Hurricane Katrina. Today, Presqu’ile is recognized for its elegant wines, sustainable farming, and warm hospitality.
