Enjoy another incredible wine tasting with our Sommelier, Olivier Flosse, for a special tour to the most famed regions of France...Burgundy.

France's Burgundy wine region produces some of the world's truly great wines. Located in eastern France and stretching from Chablis and Auxerre in the north all the way down to Beaujolais in the south, this is a region completely dedicated to terrior and tradition. The grapes planted in Burgundy are restricted to a few traditional varietals, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay holding pride of place, as well as Gamay, the major grape of Beaujolais.

This seminar will feature four wines from Burgundy: two reds and two whites, to give you a sense of the depth and variety of wines from Burgundy. The colors, aromas, and tastes of Burgundy have shaped and influenced everything we appreciate about wine. Whether you’re a connoisseur of great wine, or simply looking for the best bottle to serve with dinner or give as a gift, join us to expand your knowledge and palate to a range of tastes and traditions unmatched anywhere else in the world.

In every glass of French wine is a world of pure discovery.

Pouilly-Fuisse, Vieilles Vignes, Chardonnay, Domaine Guerrin, 2019

A blend of several old vine parcels, at least 40-years-old, located in the Vergisson commune. The soils are a very hard marl clay-limestone.Very ripe aromas of apricot, peach, spices and minerals. Broad, sappy and deep, with a strong spice character to the chewy, concentrated stone fruit flavors.

Chablis, Garnier, Chardonnay, 2019

Beautifully balanced this Village level Chablis is precise, with honeysuckle, golden apple, and crushed stone aromas gently unfolding. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, offering a pleasant expression of salinity and inviting acidity on the finish.

Bourgogne, Les Barrigards, Edmon Cornu, Pinot Noir, 2019

From 35 year-old vines in and just outside of Chorey-les-Beaune, this is just exactly what good Bourgogne Rouge should be with just one touch of something extra special from the lovely 2019 vintage. Ripe and fruit-filled aromas of cherry and raspberry, spice and underbrush pull you into a nicely full, well delineated, palate of excellent richness and purity. Delicious now for the fruit and spice and gaining a bit more forest floor complexity over the next few years.

Givry, Meix Au Roi, Pinot Noir, Danjean Berthoux, 2020

The nose has intensity and is youthful with floral notes, red fruits and earthy tones. Silky smooth, long finish with a palate of plum, strawberries, and redcurrants. Very well made from an up and coming star of Burgundy.
