The two owners of Opolo Vineyards have a friendship that dates back to 1996. Back then, they were just neighbors in Camarillo. But, just a year later, Dave Nichols bought the vineyard next to Rick Quinn’s and the rest, as they say, is history. Together, they own 280 acres of vineyards in Paso and continue joint winemaking responsibilities to this day. Much of their grape production is sold to other wineries and winemakers throughout California’s wine regions, but they manage to keep back enough to make 45,000 cases a year under the Opolo label. Tonight, we will have the pleasure of enjoying five of their wines paired with the cuisine of Fritto Misto’s incredible culinary team. Gourmet Wine Getaways wine expert Peter Kerr will join Cary (“Mr. Opolo”) to discuss the wines, the pairings and answer any and all wine-related questions. Come learn the inside scoop about the winery and the art of wine and food pairing. And if you love the wines, you're in luck.
