This fun and four-part educational tasting series will explore Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Lagrein, and Aglianico, and the stylistic differences between the "New-World" and "Old-World" winemaking practices. Learn the basics of wine-tasting techniques, and explore the two regions; soil, climate, growing practices, and production techniques that all directly contribute to the wine's unique tasting profile.
Each tasting will compare one of Pelletiere Estate’s rare Italian varieties and its “Old-World” counterpart. In this side-by-side comparative tasting, guests will enjoy a charcuterie board and generously sized pours of both wines that have been chosen based on vintage, varietal, and reproduction and a better understanding of the different regions.
