It’s finally time to bundle up in the Valley of the Sun! For those that are craving a warm and inviting meal in a cozy environment to fend off the cold weather, Nonna Urban Eatery in Scottsdale has just the thing. The newly debuted winter prix fixe menu includes three courses, and guests may select one item from each course:
To Start —
Pumpkin and Squash Soup with winter spices and goat cheese
Strip Loin Carpaccio with cardamom pear sauce and pickled mustard seeds
Grilled Octopus al Olivo with olives and lemon garlic mayonnaise
Sicilian Caponata Bruschetta with tossed fresh greens
Roasted Brussel Sprouts with apples, carrots, balsamic pomegranate vinaigrette and nuts
Mains —
Campanelle with pan seared salmon, creamy lemon sauce, leeks and asparagus
Tagliatelle Bolognese featuring beef, pork and oxtail
Four Mushroom Rigatoni with chiltepin extra virgin olive oil and ciabatta dust
Oaxacan Mole Chicken with wild rice and almonds
Pan-Seared Cod with tomatillo and asparagus sauce, and seasonal vegetables
Sweet Endings —
Corn Cake, pistachio semifreddo sandwich
Bavaressa with permission and cinnamon
Chocolate Flourless Cake with berries
Three Cheese Assortment with accoutrements and nuts
Cost is $56 per person plus tax and gratuity for the three-course menu. A slightly modified version of this menu can also be ordered a la carte at the bar.
