Kermit Lynch made his way to Berkeley just in time for the 'Summer of Love' and, by the end of the 60s, was a struggling musician in search of a new path. In 1972, with a modest $5,000 loan and a whole lot of gumption, Kermit opened a retail wine shop in Berkeley with thirty-five cases stacked on the floor. Over five decades later, he continues to operate his popular retail shop and is also a renowned distributor and national importer of authentic and expressive wines from small, artisan producers throughout France and Italy.

The name Kermit Lynch has become synonymous with high quality, terroir-driven wines.
