Meso Modern Mediterranean on Santana Row to Host Artichoke Festival 2023
Meso Modern Mediterranean on Santana Row in San Jose will be hosting Artichoke Festival 2023 from Monday, June 5 through Sunday, June 11 affording customers the chance to enjoy special menu additions that will be served for lunch and dinner, along with the restaurant’s regular menus.
Artichokes are now at the peak of their season and are one of the oldest foods known to humans, originating from the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. Festivals are held in some Greek villages and Meso is continuing this tradition. Their Festival specials will be Crispy Fried Artichoke Flatbread/$16 with spicy tahini, mozzarella cheese and Scattini Farms Artichoke Confit/$12 with herbed chickpea purée and charred lemon. These items can be paired with sommelier selected Greek wines and there will be a featured cocktail, All Choked Up, made with Cynar (artichoke is the key ingredient), rum, St. Germain, lime and mint.
