Left Bank Brasserie in Oakland to Celebrate La Fête du Cochon
Left Bank Brasserie in Oakland will be celebrating La Fête du Cochon from Monday, June 5 through Sunday, June 11 affording customers the chance to enjoy a special three-course prix fixe menu that will be served for lunch and dinner, along with the restaurant’s regular menus. Priced at $62 per person, the prix fixe will include Boudin Noir with stone fruit, watercress and cherry vinaigrette; Cassoulet with Toulouse sausage, braised pork belly, bean stew and garlic breadcrumbs; and Vanilla Crème Brulée with maple glazed bacon. These items will also be available a la carte and prices exclude beverage, tax and gratuity. An optional pairing of sommelier selected wines will be offered for $16.
In France, La Fête du Cochon is a traditional festival that honors the many classic dishes prepared using pig including charcuterie, roasts and sausages.
