As we head into the fall months, it’s time to start thinking about rich, full-bodied red wines. This September, LDV Winery offers plenty of opportunities to savor the bold flavors and complex aromas of the season.
September kicks off with a Labor Day Weekend celebration. From Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, guests at LDV’s Tasting Room in Old Town Scottsdale can enjoy $10 glasses of wine and special wine-paired tapas.
Or, enjoy one of the many other events and specials taking place throughout the month at the Tasting Room.
Summer Wine Sale — through Sept. 2
Take advantage of the final days of LDV Winery’s largest wine sale ever with huge discounts on select wines. Through Labor Day, get 40% off the purchase of 6 bottles of wine or 50% off 12 or more bottles. Local pickup only at the Scottsdale Tasting Room. Call 480-664-4822 to order.
Grenache Wine Sale — Sept. 20-22
International Grenache Day is Sept. 20. LDV Winery is celebrating this bright red grape and all the varieties and vintages it produces by offering 20% off on all bottles of grenache throughout the weekend.
Winemaker Wine Time: All About Grenache — Sept. 21, 11 a.m.-noon
Join LDV Winery winemaker Curt Dunham for a discussion about the grenache grape — which is grown at the LDV Winery vineyard in the Chiricahua Mountain foothills — and the spicy, fruit-forward red wine it produces. Wine and nibbles are provided. This event is free for LDV’s Sky Islander Wine Club members; $20 for non-members.
Paint N’ Sip Wine Wednesday — Sept. 25, 6-8 p.m.
Let your creativity flow as you join LDV Winery for a fun night of artistic pursuits hosted by Paint the Party. This month, paint your own wine glass. No experience needed, and all supplies are provided. Paint one glass for $14 or two glasses $24. Happy Hour wine prices are in effect during class.

LDV Winery Scottsdale Tasting Room is located at 7134 E. Stetson Drive, B-110, Old Town Scottsdale. LDV Winery’s Sky Islander Wine Club is free to join and offers four club levels. Members agree to purchase a minimum of two wine club packages in order to receive benefits and discounts.
