Course One: Prosciutto Bruschetta
Laird's Cold Creek Chardonnay: The glistening yellow diamond appearance gives way to enticing aromas of sweet peach, toasted hazelnut, quince jam, and vanilla. This Chardonnay is full bodied with mouthwatering acidity and a round palate that is complemented by flavors of golden delicious apple, sweet melon, lemon curd, and honey.
Course Two: Grilled Sweet Corn and Crab Salad on butter lettuce with avocado
Laird's Ghost Ranch Pinot Noir: The ruby hue invites your nose to an aromatic bounty of Rainier cherries, toasted baking spice, mountain strawberries, and a subtle hint of peat moss. The pronounced palate is a beautiful balance of fruit and acid with notes of lingonberry, toasted hazelnuts, and thyme.
Course Three: Wild Mushroom Risotto
Laird's Jillian's Blend: This bodacious blend boasts a beautiful blushed red color that is followed by an alluring nose of tamarind, wood fire toasted marshmallow, marionberries and fresh ground espresso. The balanced palate showcases bright fruit qualities highlighted by plum, mountain blueberries and juniper. The tannic structure of the wine lingers on your palate and leaves lasting notes of cigar box and unsweetened cocoa. Structured enough to be laid down but elegant enough to be enjoyed.
Course Four: Red Wine Braised Short Rib with Polenta and Carrots
Laird's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: The deep garnet color is followed by pronounced aromas of blackberry, sweet cranberry, and chocolate covered cherries. On the front of the palate, you'll find juicy acidity reminiscent of ripe strawberries and red currant with concentrated chewy tannins mid-palate and notes of vanilla and black pepper spice on the finish.
Course Five: Dark Chocolate Butter Cake with ripe berries
