Join us for a very special Masterclass where we’ll explore the legacy of Joseph Phelps Vineyards—one of Napa Valley’s most influential wineries, through a curated selection of JPV's finest wines.
Joseph Phelps, a visionary builder-turned-winemaker, founded his namesake winery in Napa Valley in 1973, driven by a pioneering spirit and a belief in the region’s potential. A year later, he debuted Insignia, California’s first proprietary red Bordeaux-style blend, showcasing his conviction that blending—not varietal labeling—was key to crafting the finest wine. Nearly 50 years on, Insignia remains a benchmark of Napa Valley excellence, earning global acclaim and accolades including “Wine of the Year” from Wine Spectator magazine for the 2002 vintage, and an unprecedented four perfect 100-point scores to the 1991, 1997, 2002, and 2007 vintages from the Wine Advocate. These accolades are a testament to Joe’s enduring legacy of innovation and quality.
Only 12 tickets will be available for this event. This is a seated Masterclass and tasting that will begin promptly at 4pm. We will be featuring a vertical tasting of the legendary Insignia as well as these wines from Joseph Phelps:
