We are thrilled to begin our California Classic Wine Dinner Series with a winery from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma, Jordan Winery!
Jordan, now celebrating it’s 50th year, was established in 1972. It was inspired by the great wine estates of France and it was created as an homage to the timeless connection to wine, food and hospitality.
Tom and Sally Jordan’s goal was to create a Bordeaux style Cabernet Sauvignon that was approachable when young, and that would also age gracefully. They knew there was only one man that could achieve this…the legendary Andre Tchelistcheff. He is known for crafting the absolute best Cabernet Sauvignon in California. The Jordan’s hired Andre as a consultant to guide their winemaker, Rob Davis. Rob was their winemaker until 2019, when Assistant Winemaker, Maggie Kruse took over upon Rob’s well deserved retirement.
During this monumental dinner we will be enjoying various vintages of both their Burgundian style Russian River Chardonnay and their Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon!
