Cost: $145 ($85 registration and $60 wine)
This 5 week class (5 consecutive Thursdays) explores the basics of the wonderful world of wine, including a review of the world’s major wine producing regions, grape variety differences, wine-making styles, and the mechanics of tasting and sensory evaluation. Participants will learn how to distinguish the various elements of wine and how to recognize the qualities and complexities of better wines. The class will help students make informed selections from wine lists and wine retailers.
Wines from around the world will be tasted during weeks two through four (bring two wine glasses to class beginning with the second class).
