Hot Club KC
Violinist, Adam Galblum is Kansas City’s jazz violinist. At a young age,
Adam had the insight to study with a living treasure. Now, after the passing
of, Claude ‘Fiddler’ Williams, Adam carries on ‘Fiddler’s rich Kansas City
music tradition in a variety of settings. The most prominent being the
ensemble named Hot Club KC. Hot Club music began in France in the
1930s, and the sound is now popular around the world. After attending
Berklee College of Music and living for a time in Denver, Adam returned
to his hometown formed the band. They played a long residency at The Phoenix in downtown KC
and at concerts and festivals around the area. Adam has performed on several radio broadcasts,
including 12th Street Jump, Public Radio’s Jazz Blues and Comedy Jam and he recorded Down To
The Wire, The Stringband Tribute to the Music of John Mayer.
