Wine Tasting in the Heart of San Diego County

With over 40 wineries to enjoy, you can spend a weekend wine tasting right here in San Diego!

The Ramona Valley and Highland Valley are two of the youngest wine regions in California. Our first-generation winemakers have honed their craft following California’s leaders in the industry. You can meet the owners and winemakers at over 30 of our one-of-a-kind tasting rooms. Visit their homes, their patios, and their winemaking spaces in the heart of San Diego County to see what goes on up close and personal.

New to the business does not mean unrecognized. Ramona and Highland Valley wineries have won gold, double gold and best of show in wine competitions throughout the United States, measured against the best wines from around the world by judges with an impeccable pedigree. We have the wines you know you love and many new varietals that you may have never tried.

Ramona’s natural advantages (soil, sunshine, altitude, and climate) have been leveraged to grow wonderful grapes. Our grape growers work hand-in-glove with the winemakers to pick every grape at the height of its ripeness and maturity. “From Great Vines Come Great Wines” is more than a slogan; it is our promise to you, our visitors.
