We have been running wine events as The MN Wine Club for about ten years.
June 25 Great Wine Movie night: Sideways & Australian Wine Tasting
We have a great back deck on a park that we can show 20’ wide movies on our house.
Last year we ran Bogart Movies during wine tasting.
This year our theme is Wine related movies.

What to bring: Bring a bottle of Australian wine valued over $15 and an app to pair with it.

When people talk about Wine Movies, Sideways is always mentioned. It’s a B Flick, but it comes up in wine conversation so why not watch it together OUTSIDE on a Deck with great Wine, Food & new friends.
Here is a brief summary of the movie: Struggling writer and wine enthusiast Miles (Paul Giamatti) takes his engaged friend, Jack (Thomas Haden Church), on a trip to wine country for a last single-guy bonding experience. While Miles wants to relax and enjoy the wine, Jack is in search of a fling before his wedding. Soon Jack is sleeping with Stephanie (Sandra Oh), while her friend Maya (Virginia Madsen) connects with Miles. When Miles lets slip that Jack is getting married, both women are furious, sending the trip into disarray.
We will ask for names of you & guests. We do so to make it easier to meet other people. We all will have name tags, it really helps. We are limiting the event to 25 people, which we have chairs & room for. And pandemic rules… we are mask optional.
We ask that everyone bring a $15+ Australian wine and an appetizer to pair. We’ll start the event at 7 PM opening the 20ish bottles of wines and appetizers. We will have serving utensils, napkins, plates, glasses, ect.
