Spooky season fans and their furry four-legged friends are invited to celebrate Halloween with a day long event featuring activities that have gone to the dogs! On Sunday, Oct. 16 FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel and Match Market & Bar host the Barks and Boo-ze Halloween Brunch with fun dog-friendly events taking place throughout the day.
During the event, in addition to Match Market & Bar’s regular brunch menu, the following specialty brunch items will be available for purchase:
Apple Cider Mimosa, $8
Pumpkin Spice Pancakes, $13
Apple Pie French Toast, $15
Pumpkin Ale Chili, $10
Autumn Harvest Honeycrisp Apple and Feta Salad, $15
For the pups:
-Woof Bowls featuring organic brown rice, sweet potato and choice of chicken or beef, $10
-Doggie Pumpkin Spice Match-uccino served with whipped cream and a dog bone, $5
Special activities during the event for dogs and their people include:
-Doga (Dog Yoga) — This dog yoga class led by CorePower instructor, Christina Mierzejewski provides an exciting bonding experience for people and their dogs. Be prepared for lots of fun and laughs. -Dog Pumpkin Painting Session — Dogs can put their paw print on a special a one-of-a-kind pumpkin to take home. Available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
-Astrology and Tarot Card Readings for Dogs from Cosmic Hour — Astrology can explain a lot about a pet — they could be a lazy Taurus who loves to nap or a chatty Gemini who never stops barking. And a Tarot card reading can help owners get some insight on their fur babies. These experiences are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
-Dog Halloween Costume Contest — Dogs that love dressing up can get decked out in their scariest, coolest or silliest Halloween costume for a chance to win a gift card to MATCH Market & Bar in the amount of $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place. Guests must be in attendance to win. Winners announced at the conclusion of the event.
