Join us on Wednesday, September 29th when we welcome owner/CEO of Liquid Farm,
Jeff Nelson to our wine bar.
Having “grown up” in the wine business, Jeff developed an Old-World palate and constantly gravitated towards the more earth and mineral driven wines from Europe. However, he wanted to support the local wine scene in Southern California. Thus, he decided to make California wine the way they wanted to drink it: from cool climates, with little to no oak. He searched all over the state and settled in one of the coolest climate AVAs in California; Santa Rita Hills, in Santa Barbara County, from where they had a plethora of varied vineyard sites from which they could source fruit. He had the name “Liquid Farm” before he even bottled the first wine. It was the perfect way to communicate the goal to “create awareness about what happens above ground and below ground, and tell the story of how both are inextricably linked to wine. Wine is, after all, a product of the earth and the human touch. It is Liquid from Farming.”
Together with winemaker, James Sparks, their collective mission was to “seek to support local viticulture and honor our palates' love for old world wines that have naturally high acidity and are not masked by many of the modern-day manipulations.”
The featured flight wines will be served as two-ounce pours and 5-ounce glasses.
The cost of the flight will be $30 per person or $27 for Wine Club Members
