Join us in welcoming WE Winemaker of the Year nominee & winemaker of Early Mountain Vineyards, Maya Hood White for a premium wine dinner!

Early Mountain Vineyards has been a leader in Virginia wine production and innovation since it was opened by Jean and Steve Case in 2012. With a strong commitment to the vineyard as well as a fervent expression of place, they high-quality wines and lead Virginia’s ascent as a renowned wine region.

Winemaker and viticulturist Maya Hood White leads the team in the vineyard and in the winery. Originally from California, Maya earned her M.S. in Viticulture and Enology from U.C. Davis, with her research focusing on time-dependent sensory profiles and bubble nucleation of sparkling wine. Since joining the team at Early Mountain, she has used her vast experience in chemistry and wine production to grow the prestige of Early Mountain and Virginia wine as a whole. She is one of only five nominees for Wine Enthusiast's WInemaker of the Year 2024, and the only nominee from Virginia!

We are so excited to be hosting Maya here at Vermilion to share her story, knowledge, and a selection of her premium wines alongside a four-course pairing menu by Chef Tony Chittum!

Seating is limited—reserve your spot today!
