Local Event Premier Host
Cost: $150
What happens when we ask Chef Jacques to cook from his heart and French/Algerian “Petit Noir” heritage and then pair up wines with his creations? Well, not your usual wine dinner! Instead it’s a six-course, six-wine, North African extravaganza! All for $150 per person including tax and tip.
For our next wine dinners at La Cote d’Or restaurant we’re doing something different. We began by asking Chef Jacques to dig back into his personal memories of favorite dishes from his family’s time living in Algeria in the early 1960s. Then, once he’d crafted his menu, good friend and very experienced food/wine guy Rob McFarlane and I proposed wines to match the dishes. The three of us tasted, picked our favorite pairings, and – in a few cases – Jacques tweaked the dishes to make for more perfect pairings.
Here's what Chef came up with (warning – mouthwatering alert!)
