join us for an intimate evening with giacomo bartolommei, 4th generation winemaker at caprili and the newly elected, youngest-ever head of the brunello consortium. together, we’ll taste through a rare vertical of caprili brunello riservas, thoughtfully paired with dishes from avec chef dylan patel.
caprili is a brunello estate located in the southwestern region of the montalcino appellation near the hamlet of tavernelle. the bartolommei family arrived in montalcino in 1911 and planted their first sangiovese vines in 1965, at a time when there were just 20 producers in the region. today, the appellation is home to more than 200 producers, yet those original vines and the historic madre vineyard are still used to produce caprili brunello ad alberto riserva.
now led by giacomo bartolommei, caprili continues its legacy with deep respect for tradition and place. at just 34 years old, giacomo represents a new generation of brunello, making this a truly special opportunity to experience these wines through the lens of both history and the future.
