Journey to the heart of southern Italian wine in this tasting on the history and wines of Campania, known as the king of the south!

Forever etched into the history of viticulture during the Roman era, Campania has emerged as the beating heart of southern Italian wine. Home to the culinary treasures of Napoli, pristine beaches of the Amalfi coast, forests of Cilento and ancient volcanic soils of Vesuvius, Campanian is one wild and interesting palce.

In this class, we take a closer look at this formidable region, its storied history and range of ancient grapes. From the coastline of the Mediterranean to the Apennine foothills, participants will discover the wines Avellino, Taburno, Amalfi, Campi Flegrei, Vesuvius and Cilento. We will dive into the ancient history of this important region and chart the rise of its celebrated sub-region of Irpinia, home to the wines of Taurasi, Fiano and Greco. Join us for this immersive tasting, where the education is truly in the glass.

8 wines will be poured, matched to a spread of antipasto.
