St. Helena’s historic Cameo Cinema is beginning a series of performing arts events staged outside the theater’s home on Main Street. “The Cameo is expanding the entertainment options within the Napa Valley,” announces Cathy Buck, founder and proprietor. “Cabaret Noir is a celebration of burlesque, which people love because it incorporates old-school glamour and satire,” Buck adds.
Caberet Noir will feature Frankie Fictitious performing burlesque and dancing DJ’d by Rotten Robbie at a benefit evening on August 19 at The Culinary Institute of America’s Barrel Room in St. Helena. The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. and includes hors d’oeuvres, a dessert bar and wine bar. Her show-stopping act encompasses her artistic imagination, impeccable musicality and dazzling, extravagant costumes. She was named “Miss Viva Las Vegas 2017”and “Miss Exotic World Burlesque Hall of Fame 2017” and has been voted one of the top 50 Burlesque industry figures worldwide.
Between Frankie’s performances, Napa-based DJ Rotten Robbie will preside over tunes on the dance floor. He has spun his magic with musicians including The Bangles, Sister Sledge, Modern English, RuPaul, Martha Wash, Thelma Houston and Wynonna. He can be found making music in the VIP and Platinum lounges at BottleRock each year.
