It's the time of year for gatherings of friends and family where plenty of food is consumed and lots of great wine flows. And the evening will flow even better if the wines are thirst-quenching, delicious, and a touch lower in alcohol than normal. This Wednesday we'll share three of our favorite wines in the shop that are jam-packed with flavor and texture, but leave a touch of alcohol behind. Join us from 4-7pm to try:

  • DeAngelis Falario DOC 2021 - A seaside Italian white from Passerina, Pecorino and Trebbiano that shows remarkable density and concentration at just 12.5% alcohol
  • Mas d'Amile Terrassesdu Larzac Le Petitou 2020 - Grenache and Syrah from around 400 meters elevation and intended for rose, but that didn't work. Stupid fun, juicy, red at just 13.0%
  • Barale Fratelli Dolcetto D'Alba Le Rose 2020 - Feels full, fleshy, and ready to love with everything from salami to pizza at just 13.0%

If you already seek out lower alcohol wines, these will be new favorites. And if you think wines have to be "big" to deliver lots of satisfaction, these just might change your mind.

Join us most every Wednesday night from 4-7pm for a different kind of in-store tasting. We’ll pour two or three bottles based on themes ranging from “Try a New Grape” to “Same Grape, Different Place” to the always popular “Expensive Wines You Otherwise Would Never Try.” We’ll even do a blind tasting here and there. You’ll find the theme for each week’s tastings posted on the website every Wednesday morning and on our Facebook page and Instagram feed every Tuesday.
