Michelin-starred Baumé in Palo Alto will be offering five premier Mother’s Day prix fixe menus to go on May 8 and May 9 with information at https://www.maisonbaume.com/ and ordering via https://www.exploretock.com/baume. There will be no on-premise dining that weekend.
The choices will include a Prime Ribeye Beef Menu/$98, Ora King Salmon Menu/$98 and Kagoshima Wagyu Beef Menu/$198, plus a Prestige Tasting Menu/$298 and Grand Prestige Tasting Menu/$398. There will also be a select list of wines by the bottle or wine pairings to choose from for an additional cost.
For Mother’s Day weekend, on Saturday, May 8, pick up hours will be 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday they will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 to 7:00 p.m.
All prix fixe meals, offered for up to eight people at a time, are ready to eat with no warm up or cooking required. The Tasting Menus each include some combination of bread and butter, caviar, soup, fish, Wagyu beef, cheese, sorbet and dessert.
Currently the world’s only Michelin two-star restaurant with a two-person staff, Baumé opened in 2010 and subsequently received a Michelin star after less than a year in business. Proprietor and Chef Bruno Chemel was a top graduate of the culinary school in Moulins, France while working at the Michelin two-star Jean Pierre Billoux. He also graduated from the Lenotre Pastry Academy in Paris, received Certificats De Travail at multiple Michelin three-star establishments and taught with Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy.
