Michelin-starred Baumé in Palo Alto is offering two Thanksgiving to go prix fixe options, their $198.00 eight-course Prestige Holiday Tasting Menu and $298.00 nine-course Grand Prestige Holiday Tasting Menu, with information at and ordering via https://www.exploretock.com/baume.

The Tasting Menus, for up to eight people at a time, are available for pick up on Wednesday, November 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and include some combination of bread and butter, caviar, soup, truffle, lobster, salmon, beef, cheese, sorbet and dessert. In addition, the restaurant has debuted a $98.00 Thanksgiving Kit for those who prefer to cook their own steak and it includes soup, ribeye, cheese and dessert. The Kit is available for pick up on Wednesday, November 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Baumé will be offering these same to go service options on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Currently the world’s only Michelin two-star restaurant with a two-person staff, Baumé opened in 2010 and subsequently received a Michelin star after less than a year in business. Chef Chemel was a top graduate of the culinary school in Moulins, France while working at the Michelin two-star Jean Pierre Billoux. He also graduated from the Lenotre Pastry Academy in Paris, received Certificats De Travail at multiple Michelin three-star establishments and taught with Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy.

Once in the United States, Chemel got a three-star review from the New York Times while at Le Chantilly. He then studied macrobiotic cooking in Japan with Japanese Master Chefs and was the Executive Chef at Ambrosia in Tokyo. Chemel moved to Southern California to be the Executive Chef of Aqua at The St. Regis Monarch Beach Dana Point, earning a Four Diamond AAA rating and five stars from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. He came to San Francisco in 2004 to open La Suite and got three stars from the San Francisco Chronicle as well as Best 10 New Restaurants and Bay Area Top 100 rankings from the same newspaper. Gourmet Magazine listed La Suite as a Top 10 Best Restaurants, San Francisco.
