Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur in association with Book Passage bookstore, will host a Cooks with Books series luncheon on Saturday, December 7, 2019, with John Becker and Megan Scott who have written the latest version of The Joy of Cooking. The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will be priced at $125 per person/$200 per couple which includes a meal based on recipes in the book, wine, tax, gratuity and a signed copy of the new publication. The event kicks off with a book signing followed by a meal designed by the restaurant's chefs, plus a chance to talk with John Becker and his wife Megan Scott who have translated a comprehensive culinary classic for a new generation. In the 2019 edition, readers will find beloved recipes retested and updated, as well as over 600 new recipes geared to modern tastes.
