98-POINT RED & PINOT BIANCO IN TONIGHT'S TASTING!
Italian author, economist and sommelier Luca Maroni (the Robert Parker of Italy) awarded the 2017 Poggio Roma an impressive 98 points. "Wonderfully deep, dark ruby red color with a beautiful shine. Very intense and complex nose with blackberries, wild berries and plum accompanied by spicy impressions of cardamom, nutmeg and black pepper. Notions of undergrowth and a hint of sweet balsamic vinegar emerge in the impressively long and tasty finish."
Turning to the Pinot Bianco, Wine Enthusiast calls it extremely elegant, offering a tantalizing combo of creamy/ crisp and dry/ mineral. It has more finesse than Pinot Grigio and is more delicately scented. Read more here!
