Beaujolais noveau is a red wine made from Gamay grapes in the Beaujolais region of France, and bottled after 6-8 weeks, to celebrate the end of the harvest.  Its worldwide release is on the 3rd Thursday of November.  “Le Beaujolais Noveau est arriv!” (The new Beaujolais has arrived) is a joyous cry heard in bars, cafes, pubs, bistros, and homes around the globe.

The 3rd Thursday coincides with The Northern Ohio Wine Guild’s regular monthly meeting.  We will host our 7th BEAUJOLAIS FEST to honor this humble wine, and to join the international celebration, of this most hallowed day on the wine calendar.  You can be part of this event. In keeping with the Guild’s educational mission, an entertaining and informative program will be presented by our resident Noveau Beaujolais expert, Jim Sperk. Light appetizers, live music, and samples of Noveau Beaujolais are part of program.
