WineFest at St Michaels VIP is once again at the end of April! Wine will be tasted, wine personalities will be there, and over 75 wines from all around the world will be tasted from many countries around the world. Some of these wines are among Wine Spectator top 25 wines. This VIP event will be held at the Old Brick Inn in the town of St. Michaels, Maryland, April 29&30, 2023. If you have experienced Winefest before and have been excited about the recent VIP events held since 2020, we hope you will see this as an even better VIP Winefest. We will have several different sessions each featuring different wines, and you will decide how many sessions to attend. Choose between attending 2, 3 or 4 sessions during Saturday and Sunday. You will experience highly rated US and International wines, as well as regional food specialties to compliment your tasting. You will be tasting different wine both Saturday and Sunday at scheduled times and this will be a seated, curated event. You will relax in comfort and hear ideas and concepts from winemakers and other wine personalities. As you taste, you will be able to compare and discuss taste profiles with the staff. The Old Brick Inn wine venue will retail its wine at special WineFest pricing both Saturday and Sunday. This VIP tasting venue will be showcasing wines often not available in Maryland. To accommodate the current situation, we have chosen exceptionally made wines with the ability to be enjoyed now or cellared for years to come. We have priced these wines aggressively to encourage our guests to purchase a wide variety of these highly sought after, limited production wines, many producing as few as 150 - 300 cases per year.
All of the wines will be featured at the Old Brick Inn Garden Patio or the Kemp House Lawn Tent, and further information will provide the exact location for each session. There will be very limited seating, in an outdoor tented environment. The ticket will allow you to safely enjoy more than 75 wines over two days. Each day we will present about half of the wines for your review and enjoyment, accompanied by small tastes to appreciate the pairing opportunities. The first period will begin about 11:00am, and the second period will begin about 2:30pm. Each ticket entitles the holder to attend the periods purchased for each day, both Saturday and Sunday. Attendees can choose to attend 2 sessions on Saturday or Sunday, one session each day, or if desired 3 or 4 sessions over the 2 days. We request that attendees choose the sessions based on the wines being tasted in that session. Please standby as we generate the specifics on each session so you can choose the sessions best suited to you.
This event will permit many of the wine reps, winemakers, and winery owners to present their wines in person, allowing them to share their personal stories and answer questions you may have about the wines in their portfolio and their personal experiences which tend to be wide and varied.
In order to maintain our safety protocols:
· Tastings are limited to guests with advance tickets and a reservation.
· All Tastings will be seated/tutored. No standing permitted.
· The wines tasted will be retailed and can be stored for pickup on Sunday.
Each ticket includes all of the tastings, a small snack plate and a $50 credit on a wine purchase of $200 or more.
We have selected notable wines in many varieties, and each of these wineries represents different styles and many different growing regions. We feel that these wines to be tasted provide any wine buyer with many choices of wines which they will find appealing. And the wine credit offered with each ticket allows the buyer to gain extra value. Since seating is limited please get your tickets quickly. This festival will sell out quickly.
