Celebrity Chef Zola Nene steps up to the plate!
Starfish are launching their annual ‘Dinner of Hope’ drive for the festive season, kicking off on 1st December, World AIDS Day. As the vulnerable children Starfish supports in South Africa become even more vulnerable in light of the pandemic, funds from this event will be going directly towards food security, central to Starfish's COVID-19 response. Whilst we can't host the large parties Dinner of Hope has been known for in the past, the campaign is going global and virtual in 2020!
Hosts can pick a time and date that suits them to take part. They will receive a "party pack" for their dinner party, including a playlist of South African music, a list of ingredients and a cooking demo from celebrity South African chef, TV personality and author, Zola Nene, and information about Starfish to share with their household and/or virtual guests!
Zola will guide participants through her signature South African dish offering guests the chance to cook along at their leisure and share photos of their creations online. All funds raised during the campaign will fund Starfish's life saving work, from the mobile ‘wellness wagon’ clinics providing testing, education and PPE supplies to day meals, food garden materials, and the delivery of emergency food parcels to vulnerable households across South Africa.
