The Canadian wine industry could be more vibrant and hold a larger share of the wine consumer’s “wallet” than it does today. What is holding it back?

 

A variety of government policies and regulations - and some wine industry practices - are keeping the wines from our four wine-producing provinces (and even from import brands) from growing in key markets across the country. Meanwhile, it seems to take a pandemic to loosen some of the more constrictive policies that have disadvantaged much of the hospitality industry. She will discuss these impediments and highlight some policy changes needed to underpin the future of a thriving Canadian wine industry and culture.
