Paderewski Festival In Paso Robles

The Paderewski Festival in Paso Robles, California, celebrates the legacy of Ignacy Jan Paderewski with four days of concerts and special events, featuring internationally renowned performers, young pianists from the Central Coast region, wine tasting, lectures and exhibits of Paderewski memorabilia.

The Festival is held the 2nd weekend in November in Paso Robles, California.

Ignacy Jan Paderewski (1860-1941) was a virtuoso pianist, composer, politician (the first Prime Minister of Independent Poland after World War I, humanitarian and orator.

Paderewski visited Paso Robles on many occasions between 1914-1939, and became an owner of two large ranches in the area, which he planted with Zinfandel wine grapes, almonds, and a variety of fruit trees.

His farming methods and keen interest in wine making transformed Central Coast agriculture, and he is remembered as a pioneer of vine cultivation in California.
