May we begin with a heartfelt ‘thank you!’ to all who participated in our inaugural WineFest 2020 Virtual Winemaker & Tasting Series event with Stephanie Cook of Wonderment Wines. Judging by the ‘gallery’ of smiles at the end of the evening, I concluded everyone had a most enjoyable experience. For those of you who were unable to join us, we hope you will be able to join us for this, the second event in our Series.
We feel these virtual events provide a special opportunity for all of us to learn from the person(s) making the wine ... the art and science as it were. That brings us to Matt Rawn. We are absolutely thrilled to have Matt share the evening with us! From a multi-generational family of Yakima farmers, and now a co-owner and the winemaker at Two Mountain Winery, he has some interesting history (and a few stories) to share. He will provide his insight into why farming and winemaking in Washington is unique … allowing him and his family to deliver wines that offer what we like to say have ‘new world fruit and old world finesse’. We want to be certain everyone has the opportunity to taste any or all of the wines with Matt during our tasting. Time permitting, Matt will discuss several other wines in his portfolio that we can make available for purchase. After the tasting, all of the wines will be available at discount for volume orders on the Order Form that will be emailed to all participants prior to the event.

The purchase of your ticket, $75.00, will include pick-up at the Old Brick Inn of the four wines several days prior to the event to be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. (You may select the Chardonnay or the Riesling.). As you may be aware, the governor of Maryland has removed the ‘Stay at Home’ order, and we are once again able to receive guests at the Old Brick Inn, the home of WINEFEST and all of the VIP events held each year. We are very excited, and very confident, to offer you our ‘Stay, Taste, and Play’ package! Please allow us to pamper you, your palate and your psyche.
We have spent these many weeks developing all of the health and hygiene features and protocols necessary to assure your safety and well-being. Our staff has been trained and is ready to receive you. Each and every room has been meticulously prepared for your visit and this promises to be a wonderful event including our ‘best on the shore’ healthy breakfast each morning. We are committed to proper social distancing. Our dining areas, both inside and out, are configured to assure proper compliance. Each and every visitor can be certain that safety is our first priority.
All guests at the Inn will receive one bottle of each of the five wines Matt will be tasting, to be enjoyed either in your room or on the Old Brick Inn patio weather permitting. Those who purchase $300 or more in wines to take home will receive a $50.00 coupon for discount on their wine purchases. Of course, you will enjoy all of the comforts and conveniences the Inn is famous for: comfortable beds, beautiful baths, large rooms, healthy breakfasts, great snacks and beverages during your stay.
We want you to know that you have three options for participating in this event: 1) Using the ZOOM virtual participation, 2) attending in person (space available) on the Old Brick Inn patio, and 3) booking our ‘Stay, Taste and Play’ package at the Inn. Options 1 and 2 will be available on Local Wine Events for $75 at the following link (LWE will insert link). For option 3, please call the Inn anytime and make a reservation. The ‘Stay, Taste and Play’ package is available for 2 nights at a complete rate of $350 with all tastings included. The one night stay rate is $225.00. Please let us know as soon as possible since space is limited.
